Moving Forward With Injections
If we determine that BOTOX is a good fit for your overall goals, Dr. Akhikar will identify the ideal injection sites on your face. Patients experience a range of sensations during the injection process. Please mention this during your consultation if you are especially concerned about the pain. Before moving forward, a topical anesthetic will be applied to help numb the area.
Recovery and Beyond
Patients who take aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may experience some pinpoint bruising at the injection site. You will begin to notice the results during the first week, with full results towards the one-month mark. You can wear makeup immediately after your procedure; however, we recommend avoiding intense workouts for at least 24 hours.
